Rose Eleanor Arbuthnot-Leslie (born 9 February 1987), known professionally as Rose Leslie, is a Scottish actress. After winning a Scottish BAFTA for Best Acting Performance for her role in New Town, she rose to fame as Gwen Dawson in the ITV drama series Downton Abbey and as Ygritte in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones. She currently stars as Maia Rindell in the CBS All Access legal drama The Good Fight. Leslie is fluent in French, having lived in France for three years. While working as an actress, she resided in Battersea, London until relocating to North London. She often professes to miss her hometown, saying: "Aberdeen... in the middle of the countryside, all trees and nature. [...] My parents would send us out for the day, we had lots of freedom. Going back is still an escape! [...] I feel very much at peace in Scotland". Leslie began dating Game of Thrones co-star Kit Harington in 2012. They confirmed their relationship in 2016.

Harington studied acting at drama school, while starring in the National Theatre's adaptation of War Horse. His film debut was in Silent Hill: Revelation (2012). He has since appeared in films such as the romantic historical film Pompeii (2014), the computer-animated fantasy film How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014) and the British drama film Testament of Youth (2014). Since 2011, Harington rose to prominence playing the role of Jon Snow in the HBO television series Game of Thrones, which garnered him a nomination for the 2016 Primetime Emmy Award. In 2017, Harington became one of the highest paid actors on television and earned $1.1 million per episode of Game of Thrones.
