London Bridge Attack - Sadiq Khan, London Mayor condemned the attacks in his town. He called the action as a cowardly attack that was deliberately committed to innocent citizens. "We do not yet know in detail (the incident), but this incident shows a deliberate cowardly attack to innocent Londoners and our city visitors who enjoyed Saturday night," Khan said in his Twitter account @SadiqKhan, quoted on Sunday (4/6). / 2017). "I strongly condemn the attack, there is no justification other than (the attack) barbaric action," he continued. Khan said that temporarily the London Bridge was closed to the public. He urged his citizens to stay away from the location.
Khan also expressed his sorrow for the victims. He did not forget to appreciate the swift action police and health services on duty at the site. "My thoughts are with the affected people, I am also grateful to the courageous men and women of health services who are first in the location and working all night," said Khan. Earlier, British Prime Minister Theresa May called the incident as a horrific attack and potentially a terrorist act. May will also hold meetings with the Cobra Committee (government security advisor). Previously, a van crashed into a number of pedestrians on the London Bridge on Saturday (3/6) evening local time. It was reported at least one person was killed and six were injured in the incident.
US President Donald Trump offered assistance to the UK following three attacks in central London. Trump offers the assistance through his personal Twitter account. "Whatever the United States can do to help in London and England, we'll be there - WE ARE TOGETHER GOD BLESS!" Writes Trump, Sunday (4/6/2017). Quoted by AFP on Sunday (4/6/2017), Trump spokesman Sean Spicer also wrote on Twitter that the National Security Agency has notified about the attacks in London. Three attacks occurred in central London. The first attack took place at London Bridge, second on Borough Market, and third at Vauxhall in South London. Previously, a van crashed into a number of pedestrians on the London Bridge on Saturday (3/6) evening local time. There have been no reports of casualties in this incident.
