Mary Frances "Debbie" Reynolds (born April 1, 1932) is an American actress, singer, entertainer, businesswoman, film historian, humanitarian and a noted former collector of film memorabilia. She was born Mary Frances Reynolds on April 1, 1932, in El Paso, Texas, the daughter of Maxine (née Harmon; 1913–99) and Raymond Francis Reynolds (1903–86), a carpenter for the Southern Pacific Railroad. She has Scottish-Irish and English ancestry, and was raised in a strict Nazarene church. Reynolds was a Girl Scout and a troop leader (a scholarship in her name is offered to high-school age Girl Scouts). Her family moved to Burbank, California, in 1939. At age sixteen, in 1948, while a student at Burbank High School, she won the Miss Burbank beauty contest. Soon after, she had a contract with Warner Bros and acquired a new first name. Her older brother Bill Reynolds graduated from Burbank High School in 1947.
Jeanie Marie Buss (born September 26, 1961) is part-owner and president of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Buss is the daughter of Jerry Buss, a real estate investor who later owned the Lakers and other sports businesses. At age 19, she started in the family business as general manager of the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. She later became the owner of the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She was also president of the Great Western Forum before becoming vice president of the Lakers. After her father died in 2013, his controlling ownership of the Lakers passed to his six children via a family trust, with each child receiving an equal vote. Buss took over as team president and represents the Lakers on the NBA Board of Governors.

She is known for her portrayal of the title character in the CBS/CW superhero drama series Supergirl. She rose to prominence for her portrayal of Marley Rose on the fourth and fifth seasons of the Fox musical comedy-drama television series Glee, and has appeared in a number of television series including Homeland, The Good Wife and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Benoist has also appeared in films such as Danny Collins, The Longest Ride and the Oscar-winning 2014 film Whiplash. Benoist was born in Houston, and raised in Littleton, Colorado. She is the daughter of Julie Renee (Smith) and James Logan Benoist. Benoist has two sisters, Jessica and Kristina. She graduated from Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Colorado in 2007, and from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City in 2011.
