Olivia Jordan Thomas (born September 28, 1988) is an American actress, model and beauty pageant titleholder. She is the current Miss USA after winning the Miss USA 2015 pageant on July 12, 2015 and will represent the USA at Miss Universe 2015. Jordan also represented the United States at Miss World 2013 where she placed in the Top 20.
Miss USA 2015, is the 64th Miss USA pageant, which was held on July 12, 2015 at the Baton Rouge River Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Nia Sanchez of Nevada crowned Olivia Jordan Thomas from Oklahoma at the end of the event. All fifty states and the District of Columbia competed for the crown. The winner will represent the USA in the Miss Universe 2015 competition.
The 2015 pageant was affected due to remarks made by Miss Universe Organization owner Donald Trump regarding Mexican immigrants, which led longtime Miss USA broadcaster NBC and incumbent rightsholders Univision Communications and Televisa to terminate their relationships with the Organization and Trump himself along with the defections of the pageant's originally announced hosts, judges and musical performers in protest of the remarks made during Trump's speech announcing his candidacy for the Republican nomination for U.S. President on June 16, 2015.
Olivia was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Bob Thomas and her mother Jill. She is as 4th generation Tulsan. She attended college in Boston. While at Boston University, she lived on the 9th floor of Sleeper hall and became SAG-eligible through featured extra work in the movies Ted and Here Comes the Boom. She graduated from Boston University in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. She then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in modeling and acting. She has appeared in multiple feature films and appeared in Hot Tub Time Machine 2 as well as the Lifetime television pilot Unreal.
