This is Newton-John's first Christmas album, and Gill's third. 'Tis the Season is a collection of classical Christmas songs and has two duets between Gill and Newton-John, as well solo songs by the singers, and two songs by special guests, The Bradford Singers. The instrumentation was orchestrated by the London Symphony Orchestra. The album only had a limited release through Hallmark Cards stores. 'Tis the season! - Holidays 2015 Day 1 2 3"Deck the Halls" or "Deck the Hall" (which is the 1877 title) is a traditional Christmas, yuletide, and New Years' carol. The melody is Welsh dating back to the sixteenth century[citation needed], and belongs to a winter carol, "Nos Galan", while the English lyrics date to 1862. The English lyrics first appeared (still called "Nos Galan") in volume 2 of Welsh Melodies, a set of four volumes authored by John Thomas with Welsh words by John Jones (Talhaiarn) and English words by the Scottish musician Thomas Oliphant, although the repeated "fa la la" goes back to the original Welsh "Nos Galan" and may originate from medieval ballads. The song is in AABA form. The series Welsh Melodies appears in four volumes, the first two in 1862, the third in 1870 and the final volume in 1874. As can be seen from the translation of "Nos Galan" below, "Deck the Hall(s)" is not a translation but new words by Oliphant to an old song.

'Tis the season! - Holidays 2015 Day 1 2 3Tis the Season is an independently released Christmas album by the American vocalist Wendy Moten and was released in 2009. Main Street is a children's novel series by Ann M. Martin aiming at age group 8–12. The story revolves around two sisters, Ruby and Flora Northrop, who move to the small town Camden Falls to live with their grandmother after the sudden death of their parents. The books tell us about the girls' new journey and adaptation in a new town and new people with old memories, and some with rather dubious ones. There, they make new friends like Olivia and Nikki. Olivia's grandmother owns a store with Ruby's and Flora's grandmother.

'Tis the season! - Holidays 2015 Day 1 2 3After completing the Baby-Sitters Club series, Ann M. Martin began the Main Street series. She has stated in one of her interviews that she always liked writing about small towns and this made writing the Main Street series even more interesting. The books have at one point or another talked about almost everyone and all shops in the town. According to Martin, she had to create a whole new imaginary town which was very enjoyable. Each book has a detailed map of the town.
